Jean-Claude & Fred met during their tenure at nbbj as part of their construction administration team while working on prestigious projects like Novartis Institute, Cal IT2, Sharp Memorial, Salk Institute and Kaiser Permanente. Fred became Jean-Claude's mentor, and they quickly bonded and formed a dynamic team where each one complimented the other.

They quickly found that their skill sets combined created a very powerful and trusted team and allowed them to execute project delivery with extreme accuracy and at the same time build long-lasting relationships with their clients. They both moved on to different venues in life, but after a 3-year stint of being apart and increasing their skill set, they decided that the time was right for them to form a partnership, one that would set themselves apart from the rest, one based on previous success working together, a strong bond and friendship that spans over 10 years, and delivery of award-winning projects, the result is the birth of cpcarchitects.
