The proposed two-story addition is to provide space for the basic services supporting the existing hospital that currently are in areas that will become non-conforming by the year 2020. To meet the requirements and timeline of SB 306, the departments that will be housed in the new Ancillary Services Building include: Administration, Central Sterile Supply, Dietary, Medical Records, Pharmacy and Staff Lockers. Additional support spaces include a Data Center, Materials Management, Morgue, Linen and Mechanical and Electrical Rooms. The capacity of the services are designed to support the current hospital license for 161 beds.
